Our direct care membership model means no co-pays or surprise bills – just consistent, predictable payments that cover a wide range of services. Our goal is to provide you with peace of mind and easy access to the care your child needs.

Comprehensive Care
Your membership includes all routine check-ups, management of chronic conditions, and unlimited sick visits. Dr. Laura focuses on preventative care, integrative medicine, and identifying underlying causes to ensure your child thrives in body, mind, and spirit.

In-Home Visits
For our members, we offer in-home* visits. This service is designed to provide the convenience of professional care in the comfort of your home, whether you're navigating the newborn stage or managing your child’s ongoing healthcare needs.

Direct Access to Your Pediatrician
As a member, you’ll receive concierge-style care and direct access to Dr. Laura ensuring timely answers to your questions. If you have an urgent concern after hours, you will be speaking with your pediatrician directly instead of a call-center.

Insurance for the Big Stuff
While our membership covers most in-office services, your insurance can be used for immunizations and certain tests. Insurance is used if your child requires any outside care. This ensures you get the care your child deserves without unexpected costs.

Our Team
Laura Crocker Mitchell, MD, FAAP
Welcome to Willow Pediatric Wellness! I'm so excited to embark on this journey with you and your family.
I grew up in Dothan, but I now call Birmingham home. After earning my bachelor's degree at Auburn University and my medical degree at UAB, I completed my pediatric residency at UAB and Children's of Alabama. Since residency, I have worked in the pediatric emergency department at Children's of Alabama. My experience in the pediatric emergency department highlighted the holes and shortcomings of our existing healthcare system and reinforced my desire for a new approach to children's health, inspiring the creation of Willow Pediatric Wellness.
As a mom, I understand how daunting making the “right” choice for your family can feel, and in a world full of conflicting information, it can be difficult to know who to trust. In addition to being your child’s doctor, I hope to serve as your dependable advisor, supporting and encouraging you through each stage of parenthood. Every child is unique, and I'm committed to providing personalized care to help them thrive. I want to help your family reconnect to the roots of health in our fast-paced world.
My son, Charles, is my greatest inspiration for starting this practice. I'm determined to ensure that he—and every child in my care—has the opportunity to grow up healthy and happy.
